About Gingerfizz Marketing

Hi, I’m Vicky - Founder of Gingerfizz Marketing, marketing strategist, and someone who believes marketing should feel clearer, not louder.

If you’re here, chances are you’re running a small business and juggling everything. Marketing probably sits on your to-do list somewhere between “important” and “I’ll deal with that later”.

That’s where I come in.

A bit about me (and why it matters to you)

I trained in Graphic Design and Photography, before completing an MSc in Marketing at the University of Huddersfield in 2003.

Since then, I've spent 23+ years working hands-on with businesses across arts, education, manufacturing, construction and professional services. I founded Gingerfizz Marketing in July 2013 and have been self employed ever since, which means I understand the reality of running a business, not just advising on one.

Along the way, I've been appointed as an Enterprise Nation Government Growth Voucher Advisor and worked as a small business advisor for young entrepreneurs (aged 16-19) starting their first ventures. I'm also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM).

That mix of creative grounding, strategic training and real-world experience means I don’t approach marketing as a collection of tactics. I look at the bigger picture: what you’re trying to achieve, what’s realistic, and how to build something that works for you and that you can actually keep up with.

How I work

These days, Gingerfizz Marketing is less about doing marketing for you, and more about helping you work smarter and with confidence.

I support small business owners by:

  • Creating clear, practical marketing strategies and plans that don’t gather dust
  • Providing coaching and accountability to keep things moving (and stop you second-guessing everything)
  • Helping you put simple systems and processes in place so marketing feels manageable
  • Planning content and campaigns that fit your business, time and energy
  • Running training and workshops to help you understand what you’re doing — not just follow instructions
  • Making sensible use of tools and technology, including AI, where it genuinely helps (nothing over-engineered or expensive)

If you do need hands-on support like graphic design, websites or copywriting, I’ll always point you towards trusted specialists. My role is to help you make good decisions, spend your time and money wisely, and feel confident about the direction you’re taking.
